Equipped with 3 or 4 solid cushion warehouse tires these electric counterbalanced
warehouse lift trucks are recommended for use on a hard smooth surfaces
such as concrete. Solid cushion warehouse tires give these forklifts
a smaller turning radius than pneumatic tire forklifts and liftrucks.
Warehouse liftrucks are available with three or four wheels in the electric
counterbalanced sit down models. The choice of wheel format is dependant
on warehouse space requirements. Three-wheel electric forklifts have
a tighter turning radius than their four-wheel electric counterbalanced
warehouse liftruck counterparts, allowing them to operate in a smaller
area.
The smallest three-wheel electric counterbalanced warehouse lifttruck
requires at least a 9' 9" aisle with 42" forks. The smallest
four-wheel electric counterbalanced warehouse forklift requires at least
a 10' 6" aisle with 42" forks. Electric lift trucks of both
three & four wheel types can be used to load/unload trailers, box
vans, & warehouse rack. Warehouse forklifts such as electric counterbalanced
sit down models can also be used to stack pallets or various loads, as
well as move pallets or loads around a facility.
