Large loaded container handlers are designed to efficiently lift 20' and 40' fully loaded ocean containers, or refrigerated containers, and stack them one on top of an other. These pneumatic tire lift trucks range in capacity from 80,000lbs to 105,000 lbs capacity.

These large units have the ability to stack containers 3 to 5 high, or greater, depending on the loaded container handlers lift height. Large loaded container handlers have a top pick attachment instead of forks. This attachment is hydraulically expandable from 20' to 40' depending on the container's length being handled. There are twist locks on the integral spreader bar attachments that lock the container under the attachment for handling purposes.

Most commonly loaded container handlers are configured with large displacement six cylinder diesel engines. Built with planetary drive axles and air brakes these large fork lifts have 3-speed powershift transmissions.

Equipped with air filled pneumatic tires loaded container handlers are designed for use outside. Large loaded container handlers should be used only on hard, smooth surfaces such as concrete for stability and safety reasons.
