A supplier forklift and liftrucks classified as electric order pickers, and order selectors, Forklifts Wholesale International, Inc., is also a supplier of many other types of material handling equipment. Designed with the operator safely lifted on a platform with the forks of the unit these electric order pickers/selectors are made for hand-loading of less than pallet load quantities on or off various rack positions. This type of electric picker/selector lift truck is equipped with solid poly tires and is therefore not recommended for use on a hard smooth surfaces such as concrete. Electric order pickers/selectors such as these can operate in very narrow situations with less than 6 ft aisles. Electric order pickers/selector have a wheel configuration and outriggers which makes the unit unable to cross over a dock plate. Therefore, direct-loading from the storage rack to a docked 18 wheeler using these electric order pickers/selectors is not feasible.
